do you know where we can watch this with ENGLISH SUBTITLES…
Which drama?
my trouble is I can not sit through those sad drama /melodramas so I try to stick with comedies or at the most light dramas.
It is why I so love Mischevious Princess. so many Chinese ancient/Myth based drama have such sad ending, but MP was just plain fun all the way through, a true delight and jem.
Hi, Could you tell me on which free site can I watch Chou Nu Ye Feng Kuang.
Thanks
Rita
I actually watched it by DLing the rmvb files off funshion, which can be dl here http://www.funshion.com/english/
I’m not sure if its still there as they keep changing what they have available.
You’ll want to watch out though that funshion may have spyware or adaware when you install it because its a Chinese p2p program and usually those programs are pretty shady haha. I haven’t used it in awhile, but it should be alright. It just might mean when you dl files, internet can get really slow.
Hi, since you’ve seen so many dramas, you should put your ratings next to them. that may help me choose good ones. thanks! I like your site!
Most of them I don’t rate since a lot of other blogs and sites go deeply into analyzing the more popular dramas. I like to root for the under dogs so I try to give ratings to more obscure dramas. If you have a genre preference I can definitely try to recommend some for you, both old and new.

“Rogue Snow” (胭脂雪) is not a taiwanese drama, but a production from Mainland China (Shangai Media Group). Some people translate the title literally as Rouge Snow, others as Romantic Red Rouge, but actually it’s the name of a chinese flower that blooms once a year. Xia Yunkai explains it in the 19th episode (0:25:30″). Perhaps it’s complicated to find a suitable title for the western audience because this flower has not an english name.
Changing the subject, I haven’t seen any series from Hong Kong in your list. If you like ancient dramas, I would suggest you to watch “Eternal Happiness” (再生緣) or “The Seventh Day” (最美麗的第七天), if you prefer contemporary ones.
The main character in Eternal Happiness is Mang Lai Kwan (or Meng Lijun, in mandarin), a clever and brave but stubborn girl, who hates discrimination toward women, so she disguises herself as a boy to go secretly to school with her brother and to have fun in the town (concealing it to their parents). As her father forces her into an arranged marriage, she flee away from home. Soon afterwards, a gang of dumb bandits will cacht her, but she will tease them around and turn over the situation in a smart way. At that time, her father will be framed as a terrorist, so she will come back to rescue him… This is only the beginning. The story has a lot of humor, fight scenes (Lai Kwan is very good at Kung Fu) and romance. Undoubtelly, this is for me one of the best dramas ever produced by TVB, even though it was aired in 2002.
For direct downloading of this series, look at:

There is still a torrent batch in:

Both are dual audio (original cantonese/dubbed mandarin) version with hardsubbed english subtitles.

Hey argus, thanks for your input and insight! Actually I usually don’t delve into Hong Kong dramas, though I do dabble a bit in Hong Kong movies. If they are dubbed I usually check some out but I haven’t been too keen on going in that direction. 😀
Hiya , do you know where can i watch 同伊 ( Tong Yi ) with english subtitles ? Funshion only has it in chinese subs . Thanks ~
